Katie A. Northern Collaborative
At the heart of the Katie A. Core Practice Model is the mission to ensure statewide consistency and a high level of individualized service to children in care and their families. The Core Practice Model directs social workers to “engage children and families” and work in teams rather than in isolation, or in “silos.”
The Katie A. Northern Collaborative was created to facilitate collaboration between and across agencies seeking to effectively implement the Katie A. Core Practice Model. To assist our valued community partners in achieving this goal, this website provides resources related to Katie A. legislation and collaborative learning. Additionally, this site provides a community forum in which participants can share resources, exchange learning successes and challenges, post documents and increase knowledge through the exchange of information and networking. It is our hope that this site will facilitate a collaborative learning environment in which a true community of practice can form and thrive to the benefit of the children and families we serve.
