About the Communities of Practice

A community of practice is a network of people who share a common interest, set of challenges and/or competence on a specific topic, and who deepen their knowledge and expertise in this area by engaging and interacting with one another on an ongoing basis.

Each of the communities focuses a specific area of practice. They also provide the opportunity to share resources, exchange learning successes and challenges, post documents and increase knowledge through the exchange of information and networking.

These communities are designed for child welfare supervisors, program managers, division managers and planners, but others may participate as well.
