Introduction

Welcome to the Instructor Design Readiness course.

We are delighted you have decided to join us in this self-guided online course that will provide foundational education for designing an online course. The outcomes for this course are to:

1. Demonstrate understanding of best practices in online course design;
2. Prepare to engage with instructional  designers for online course design.
3. Develop an Initial Draft of a Course Design Worksheet

The course consists of four modules with corresponding active lectures and activities. Each module will include recommended readings, an interactive lecture covering module topics, a challenge to put your knowledge into practice, as well as a module/self-evaluation to help you assess your progress in the course. The modules are all asynchronous so you can go at your own pace. 

Begin by opening the first module, Foundational Elements, and progress through the instruction and learning activities. Be sure to complete the modules in the order they're presented.
