Web Meeting using Zoom - Technical Requirements
Required: A headset or headphones or speakers (any combination of headphones and microphone, but here's an inexpensive one we recommend from Microsoft - around $20 on Amazon (Links to an external site.) .). Earbuds from SmartPhones with an in-line microphone also work well.
Required: Highspeed, reliable connection to the internet (DSL, cable, on-campus, etc.). Please note that wired connections are always best, and wi-fi locations at cafés and restaurants are not recommended for an optimal experience.
Suggested: Zoom Desktop Client though Zoom has a web-based client, it has limited functionality. It is highly recommended that you download the desktop client, you may download zoom for your browser, or mobile device here: https://zoom.us/download (Links to an external site.)
Suggested: A webcam (already built into most laptops, or you can get an inexpensive one from Logitech (Links to an external site.) so that we can see you.
